TIPPING -- There is absolutely
no firm policy, but tips of $8 to $10 per day per person to the guide
for the trip would be normal. Tips for lodge personnel usually are
given to lodge managers to distribute to cooks, maids, waiters, drivers,
etc., and usually would run about $8 to $10 per day per client, but
this is of course left up to each client.

with livewells, rod boxes, fully carpeted with electric trolling motors. They
are equipped with 40 & 48 horsepower Yamaha engines and swivel seats for your
all day fishing comfort. Each boat is equipped with a trolling motor with new
deep cycle trolling batteries.
GUIDES -- Most of the guides are local commercial fishermen,
and are experienced in guiding American tourist. We use only the very best
and experienced guides for our clients. Our guides know where the big fish
live.
WEATHER -- Lake El Salto is located approximately 700 miles
south of Nogales, Arizona. Since it is a mountain lake, the mornings and evenings
are cool and require a warm jacket. Mid day temperatures in winter will be
quite warm, summertime, and early fall temperatures will be rather hot. Be
sure to bring sun lotion, sunglasses, and always everywhere a rain suit.
HANDY CHECK
LIST
Rain suit, sun glasses, sun lotion, flashlight,
rod case, tackle box, rods & reels, insect repellent, passport, airline ticket, fishing cap, diarrhea medicine,
Pepto-Bismol, camera and film, pliers, fishing knife, and favorite
snacks. If you choose to wear short sleeve shirts and shorts, then
please cover exposed skin with insect repellent as small biting gnats
are sometimes present early a.m. and late afternoons. We recommend
taking long sleeve shirts and long pants in case the gnats are bad. Bottled
water for drinking and brushing teeth will be provided by the lodge.
BEST LURES
Almost any type of lure will catch fish at
these new lakes. You should be able to use your favorite lure most
of your trip and do great. However a reasonable supply of crankbaits,
spinners, and topwater lures of most any color will be fine. Of course
you can always catch fish on worms, jigs, and slabs. Almost all clients
at Anglers Inn Bass Fishing Lodge have been able to hook at least one
trophy. Lures or colors may change, so it would be wise to call Bass
Adventures 10 days before departure for a lure update.
We have a few extra rods, reels and some
lures in the event you need to use them in case of emergencies. No
Charge!
