Huites Bass Fishing Report for February 25, 2001

Bass Fishing Date: February 25, 2001
Best Bass Pattern: Plastic Worm
Big Bass Caught: 11.75
Total Bass Caught: 250+
Bass Fishing Days : 5

Report:

Got back from Huites this past Saturday. Everything was great. The lodge manager is a real nice gentleman, the guides were excellent, the food and the service was great.

Our guide Javier was outstanding and worked his butt off in some tough
fishing conditions.

We averaged around 50+ boated bass per day with likely twice that many lost due to various angling woes (break-offs, tree hangers and over anxious anglers).

We had a ton of 2-1/2 to 4lber's.

My buddy got a 6-1/2, a 7-1/2 and a 9-1/2.

I did a little better with a 6, two 8's, a 9-1/2 and a 11-1/2.

I'm attaching the picture of the big one. Our guide said that was the largest bass he'd seen taken from the lake. You can see from the photo that it still didn't have any roe yet, so it will likely be a few pounds heavier by the spawn
come end of March.
